At its core, coliving is about fostering belonging, social connection, and a sense of home. In an era where affordability, mental wellbeing, and meaningful interactions are more important than ever, coliving operators must go beyond providing a place to live - they must create environments where residents thrive. This category celebrates the coliving operators and on-site teams that curate impactful community experiences, foster strong social ties, and enhance the overall user journey through thoughtful engagement, services, and community-building initiatives.

Application Criteria

For whom?

Community teams, community facilitators / managers, operational teams, resident experience teams, CX / UX designers, and consultants specialising in hospitality, placemaking, or community engagement.

Criteria

  1. Strong Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrates authentic engagement among residents, on-site staff, brand representatives, and the local community.
  2. User & Community Experience: Proven ability to deliver a unique and outstanding user experience, supported by qualitative data such as resident testimonials and engagement stories.
  3. Proven Customer Satisfaction Metrics: Tracks and records resident satisfaction through established data points (e.g., NPS scores, user sentiment analysis, feedback loops).
  4. Proven Referrals & Retention Rates: Showcases strong resident loyalty with measurable data on retention rates, organic referrals, and brand advocacy.
  5. Personal & Professional Growth: Fosters a thriving environment where residents, staff, and local community members have opportunities for learning, career development, and personal well-being.

Deliverables

Below we have summarised the deliverables for your application. Please also make sure to download the application guide and presentation template by following the buttons below to make sure you read all necessary information to have a successful Coliving Awards entry. Note that every category has its own application guide!

1. Presentation including:

  • Name
  • Organisation
  • Logo (if applicable)
  • Details about specific project / site / product in English
  • Responses to questions in the additional resources requested in the eligibility and evaluation criteria, such as customer insights, NPS scores, retention rates, referral rates, resident testimonials, etc.
  • Presentation should be max 20 slides / pages and in PDF format (16:9 horizontal format). Please see the presentation template below for reference

2. High level summary of your project submission in the Application portal and answer to all application questions.

3. Supporting images / renders (in high resolution JPG / PNG -> 150 dpi) in ZIP format** (max 10 images). Files to be named in the following format " organisation-projectname-image# “

4. Representative project image (max 10 MB) to be used as a thumbnail in the application portal and other relevant communication from Coliving Awards about your project

5. It should be clear that your project meets the criteria for this category
