The 3.0 Mofang apartments in Beijing San Yuan Qiao and Shanghai Ning Guo Lu, along with the 3.5 Mofang Product Centre in Shanghai by LOD, exemplify a forward-thinking approach to interior and furniture design for co-living environments. Utilising a modular “Space Cube” system, the design process emphasises prefabrication and user-informed flexibility, reducing construction time and enabling scalable deployment across diverse urban contexts. Each module—from workstations to leisure zones—is crafted for adaptability, long-term durability, and ease of maintenance.‍
Sustainable materials, such as terrazzo, fireproof boards, and recycled metal panels, are paired with biophilic elements and localised aesthetics, promoting environmental responsibility and cultural resonance. The interiors foster wellbeing and creativity through curated communal spaces, including yoga rooms, book bars, and roadshow zones, encouraging interaction, productivity, and a sense of belonging.‍
Designed with personalisation in mind, movable furniture and hybrid indoor-outdoor layouts allow residents to shape their environment, enhancing comfort, identity, and emotional connection. These projects redefine co-living by transforming everyday spaces into dynamic ecosystems of connection, sustainability, and innovation—tailored to the evolving lifestyles of urban dwellers.
